Responsibility

Most of the pictures I've posted today were taken in Sept. and Oct.
They represent TODAY'S NEEDS.
There are MILLIONS and MILLIONS of people and animal owners/providers in the United States alone.Surely, a few HUNDRED able-bodied Americans can VOLUNTEER for 3 days, a week, 2 weeks? It's on HUMAN shoulders to END this Katrina-started, Man-continued animal INJUSTICE.
The remaining pets and abandoned animals? They'll just keep suffering and being tormented to the END - given our OVERALL indifference. It's even CRUELLER to sustain their lives for MONTHS, only to leave them in the same or WORSE conditions. It's like pulling a drowning person out of the water to catch their breath, only to let them slide back in again.
Insane and CRUEL.
VOLUNTEERS are essential to ensure the survival of these pets/animals.VOLUNTEERS are, sadly, what is LACKING THE MOST in this effort. You don't need to be a veterinarian or an animal specialist to provide food and water etc. - while the more experienced trap/treat and shelter. ALL CARING PEOPLE WANTED and NEEDED! Click the VOLUNTEER! link.
History is STILL being written.
Animals and pets are STILL WAITING and languishing in depravity.
Animals and pets are STILL DYING slowly and painfully.
VOLUNTEER.

These pictures show a living nightmare. It drives home the fact that mankind fought nature to build a city, domesticated animals and made them dependent on us for their very life,we build an enviroment for our comfort and convenince and in the process create a hostile enviroment in which our companion animals cannot survive on their own.To see how many animals were left to fend for themselves is sickening. I live in an area known as Tornado Alley and we have a tornado plan, each person is responsible for one of our four footed family members, hopefully we will never have to put that plan in action but if we do,our animals safety is planned for right along with ours.

One woman on a video said the people had to leave their pets behind. Come on. There isn't a person alive who could force me to abandon my furbabies. If I had to stay behind, that's exactly what I would do. When you agree to be responsible for another life, that doesn't mean just when it's convenient. I sincerely hope the people who abandoned their pets see these pictures and witness the horrors they condemned their pets to (as well as the fact that decent people have had to take over their responsibilities).
