I just saw every post from beginning to end. At first, you were wondering what the purpose of your blog would be. It's evident now. Thank you for sharing countless photos showing just what IS going on in "New Horrorleans." The images made me cry with joy and sadness. I wish I was able to go and help the rescuers, unfortunately I have no means to do this. I am going to link you to my blog: http://girlgoyles.blog.com so others can see the wonderful documentation you have provided.
The best pics of this animal crisis on the web. Where are you? I need pics of the cattle and horses suffering in areas a few hours from NO. It is a crisis. They have little to no food and water. Can you go? ericrice3@comcast.net
Glad you checked it - front to back -as they say. This blog definately experienced a shift in direction - or took on a direction! lol Very glad to hear how the images moved you. As far as the emotions go, I discovered my RAGE has been finely honed by this devastating, crushing, and ONGOING experience. I have no means to really help either - read no $$. Since you can't go yourself, maybe someone with resources will see and click the referer link on your blog - see these heart striking pics - and get involved in the ongoing rescues. That way, you ARE helping rescuers! It really DOES happen like that - more often than you'd think...
Thanks for the complimentary comment and the link referal!
re: george dubya - I'm personally refraining from commenting about religion and politics here. YOU, however, can say whatever you want.
I don't know the number of remaining animals, but I CAN say there are a lot of people feeding, watering and rescuing them TO THIS DAY! Fingers crossed, Marla.
Geez, I hate that I can't help! I live in Southern Ontario, CANADA. Nowhere NEAR New Horrorleans. If I could go, I would have gone WEEKS ago, SERIOUSLY! - for those who know me, they know this is TRUE. I will search for some pics - and post'em. If some photos land in your lap, I will post some here - if that helps.
btw - I responded to your other comments - in case you didn't check back. *
It's nice to see good photos--and several of them are mine (though Eric--who I worked with in New Orleans--seems to have gotten credit for all of them. Feel free to check out all 745 photos I took while in New Orleans: www.savethepetskatrinarescue.blogspot.com
My only request is that my photos get attributed to me, please.
There's a good book, that's for sure - but it need not include me - The rescuers and their supporters, the photographers etc. - they have the experiences to author some stories!
As always, I read all your thoughts with great respect, sadness and hope. I've nothing new to add, but I do want to re-iterate that it's fantastic that you're making yourself a voice for creatures that TRULY don't have voices of their own. I linked you to our website (www.freepressmusic.com) through the forum section. Whatever we can do to help, we will. Take care.

George Bush doesn't care for animals.
Thank you for not giving up on the animals. Thank you for showing the truth. Who knows how many poor babies are still out there.

Ahhh, yes Lisa.
It is all George Bush's fault.
Of course.
Not the local and state officials who actually have control over the area.
It is the state officials that ordered rescues stopped.
It is the local officials (Nagin) that are denying that pets still need to be rescued and spreading fear that the ones remaining are dangerous.
You can't blame Bush for everything you don't like. It gets old.

Hi CAT !
If I don't know the author of a particular pic, I always list the
website from which it came.
Let me know which pictures are yours - I'll HAPPILY give you the appropriate photo credit.

No need for you to wonder why you started this blog, or the time you decided to start it. It's evident now.
I include it in my emails, because it tells the real story.
Excellent, excellent job!
..also, between you and Eric, there's a good book somewhere :)
Hi Bobbie!
The blog has a bit of a theme now, I agree. lol
Thanks for the referral and the compliment!
There's a good book, that's for sure - but it need not include me -

Thanks, again Bobbie!

Hey Jimmy D !
I require no thanks - really.
Any praise should be unloaded on the REAL people making a difference - the rescuers and their supporters.
Gracious of you to put a link on The Free Press forum. It's a really good album - you guys are really on your way.
Thanks again for commenting J.D.!
