I have suggested to Eric Rice and I would like to suggest to you as well that you e-mail Oprah...if she did a story on this it could make a HUGE difference...I tried to e-mail her website your web address, but I think I botched it... please e-mail her you story http://www2.oprah.com/email/email landing.jhtml Thank you for your thoughtful insight and pictures that say so much more than words...
I'd love it, if Oprah WOULD throw a couple of million bucks towards animal rescue operations.
A 15 minute segment on her show, focusing on the RIGHT NOW of the wildlife situation - 6 WEEKS after Katrina's landfall -could generate a last-minute infusion of cash for rescuers, and the heightened awareness of the public could result in MORE people questioning the appropriate 'authorities' as to why they seem DETERMINED to QUIT saving these INNOCENT and BRUTALLY-SUFFERING animals.
Thank You!!!! I know that you might be in touch with Eric Rice...I believe that both of your websites (especially the pictures and the personalized stories) might convince Oprah, a confirmed animal lover to DO SOMETHING!!! Please also convince anyone with a "story to tell" to e-mail her as well.... Thanks again for your website...I check in daily and am deeply moved by your pictures and poignant words..
In all fairness to Oprah, I'm sure she is inundated DAILY by people representing a neglected part of our shamble-filled society - desperately looking for assistance, publicity and of course $$$.
Oprah donated 10 million dollars to assist the HUMAN victims of Katrina. This can't be overlooked. The majority of 'tv-land' has done nothing for the people OR the animals of New Horrorleans. It's to be expected, but it's still a shame.
Continue your emailing efforts - I'm not trying to dissuade you - just don't want you to be angry with a woman who really DOES do some good ! *
Hey anonymous, again!lol
I don't know Eric Rice, personally. Seems like a 'Man On A Mission' though! We've never met or spoken, but I believe he's worthy of support.
People ARE emailing Oprah - We just have to wait and see...
Thank you for the kind words - will be posting new images tonight. *

At this LATE stage, anything is worth a shot.
I guess I'm writing a letter to Oprah ! lol
